Lullaby Book Cover

“Lullaby” follows the story of Carl Streator, a crime reporter who comes in contact with a book of rhymes which, unbeknownst to him, contains an African chant that allows the reader to kill whomever he or she wishes.

The concept behind the book cover was to place the reader in the same position the protagonist found himself. The reader is not given any information until they pull on the tongue of the spirit. The book’s information is consequently revealed when they have completely pulled the tongue out, and have awakened the spirit through their interaction.
